Furthermore, the Avicenna Roboflex enables remote control of all the functions of any flexible ureteroscopy, such as rotation, deflection, insertion, and retraction.
Avicenna Roboflex Confort
In terms of comfort, the Avicenna Roboflex prevents surgeon fatigue by allowing them to manipulate the ureteroscopy while seated, outside the radiation field. Moreover, the laser fiber is remotely moved into the correct position from the console’s touch screen. The software ensures that the laser can only fire when it is properly positioned outside the ureteroscopy, thereby protecting the scope from damage and extending its lifespan. Additionally, the irrigation flow is adjusted from the touch screen, enabling low-pressure flushing. Thanks to its precise rotation and deflection, the tip of any flexible ureteroscopy can be positioned accurately. The scope can also be fixed in place, which allows for continuous access to the target.
Ergonomic Sitting
The procedures are performed from an ergonomic sitting position, without the need for a lead apron and outside the radiation area. As a result, surgeon fatigue is significantly reduced.
3D Simulation
With easy orientation through 3D simulation, less fluoroscopy is used, which also allows for better concentration.
Joystick Control
All functions, including forward and backward movement, rotation, and deflection of the flexible ureteroscopy, are controlled through both the touch screen and joysticks.
Interchangeable Holders
The interchangeable holders enable the use of all brands and models of flexible ureteroscopes available on the market, offering greater flexibility for different needs.
Pneumatic Foot Pedal
The state-of-the-art pneumatic foot pedal is used either to fire the laser device or to operate the X-ray unit, improving efficiency during procedures.
The Irrigation System
The irrigation system is controlled by a mechanical pump, which can also be attached to any standard rod for gravitational irrigation, enhancing its versatility.
